In fifty words or less, describe yourself.

I am a multifaceted, hard worker who is searching for her lifelong passions. I aspire to find a career that employs principles of computer science as well as design while continuing to participate in the extracurriculars I enjoy. I am an active martial artist, fencer, tennis player, pianist, and flautist.

What is the coolest thing you have done in your studies as a CM major?

I have had the opportunity to work part time at the Georgia Tech IMAGINE Labs, which is a research group that works on numerous architecture-related problems on and off campus. I designed and implemented the front end for one of their applications, which will be featured in the National Geographic upon completion.

What are your professional goals?

Upon graduation, I plan to pursue a Master’s Degree in Human Computer Interaction and later find a job that focuses on designing computers and other forms of media to be more accessible and understandable. Some of my interests include data visualization, user research, and intuitive design.

In one sentence, explain why students should choose the CM major.

You should pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Computational Media, because the major will teach you how to understand code and technology as well as how to communicate your ideas to others through a creative and artistic means.
