In fifty words or less, describe yourself.

I’m a hard working person with a desire to learn and a passion for animation. I love to express myself through creative outlets, whether it be drawing and painting or through music.

What is the coolest thing you have done in your studies as a CM major?

I think the coolest thing I’ve done was create a short, hand-drawn animation, from character designs all the way to a finished animated short film! This was for the class LMC 2730 (Constructing Moving Images), which allowed me to shape how I wanted the class to go and what I wanted to get out of it by proposing and doing my own project ideas. This was tons of fun because I got to explore and learn more about something I really love!

What are your professional goals?

My goal is to work in the animation industry, with my dream companies being Pixar and Disney! I love the storytelling aspect of animation, and I hope to be able to tell meaningful stories that touch a wide range of people.

In one sentence, explain why students should choose the CM major.

CM is such a unique major that allows students to explore both the technological and creative sides of media!
