In fifty words or less, describe yourself.

I’m fun, energetic, and passionate about video games and interactive media as a whole. I enjoy basketball, ultimate frisbee and want to be a game developer or user interface designer after I graduate. My threads are Media as well as Interaction Design and Experimental Media.

What is the coolest thing you have done in your studies as a CM major?

I wouldn’t say there has been one specific thing that is the coolest. It is more like multiple cool projects over all the semesters. These projects have ranged from recreating Space Invaders, creating an Atari game, developing my own Gameboy Advanced ski game, to creating branding and logo design for a company I made. The possibilities are endless and being able to create whatever you are passionate about is what I enjoy the most.

What are your professional goals?

I am looking towards being a game developer or a user interface designer. I would love the ability to develop a game or experience that would allow people to create exciting and fun memories with others through play. I have also had ideas to open my own web development company.

In one sentence, explain why students should choose the CM major.

A Computational Media degree provides you with the design and graphical abilities to visualize an idea, as well as the programming skills needed to bring that idea to life.
